New ISIS Nitrous Oxide System Coming

Okay Guys,

We're really excited about some new developments over here at ISIS Power.  There are some large new product announcements planned for the next few weeks but we wanted to leak a little information out to whet your attetites.

As you know, ISIS was originally designed to for heavy & harsh-duty vehicle applications.  On the commercial side of our business, our customers use ISIS to wire armored vehicles, limousines, busses, coaches, service trucks and emergency vehicles.  We have been broadening out the motorsports side of our business since the first of the year.  In other blog postings, we have showed you examples of customers wiring cars for road racing, Baja racing, rally racing and drag racing.  These guys are using ISIS to wire and control everything from lights to starters to ECU's to fans to pumps to data acquisition.

We've been talking to our partners on the drag racing side for a while.  They were unhappy with the performance and usability of the existing Nitrous Oxide control system that are on the market today.  Some of their biggest complaints focus on how difficult it is to change stage timing to adjust to track conditions.  Most of the systems out there rely on tiny DIP switches that have to be added up in decades to get the time that you need.  Counting up different numbers while trying to flip tiny switches with all the noise, fumes and vibration in the car can be practically impossible.  At the same time it is really easy to make a mistake, which can cost you a win.

We'll get more information out over the next week but here's what you can expect to see from the ISIS Power team: a flexible and powerful Nitrous Oxide controller that is easier to use than any other system on the market.  At same time, it has the flexibility to control up to 4 stages of Nitrous.  The stages can be run individually or stacked on top of each other.  You can also decide whether or not you want to run progressive on the first stage or not.  It also includes a built-in Trans Brake delay timer.

This system uses our propriatary switch panels to make wiring simple through a single cable.  Also, this system uses our exclsive rotary dial that lets you easily set your stage timing, in the staging lane, even with gloves on.

Most importantly, this Nitrous Oxide control system uses the proven ISIS multiplex technololgy.  The system has a long history of operating in punishing environments.  It has been tested to the toughest automotive standards.  You can rely on ISIS to get you across the finish line.

Here's a quick video showing some of our live Nitrous testing with a full manifold.

Give our guys a call at (847) 232-1991 to learn more about our upcomming Nitrous Oxide control system.  Watch here for more videos and information on the system plus watch for our debut at the 2012 NMCA Muscle Car Nationals at Route 66 Speedway in Joliet, IL, July 12th through the 15th.

In-Car Video from Heli-Racing

The Heli-Racing team sent us a link to their in-car video footage from their last race.

This is amazing.  Imagine keeping this car under control, on these tight roads, making these turns at high speed.  It is really impressive.  You can see where weight reduction and reliability of the wiring harness are critical to winning.

Stay tuned for more great examples of how our ISIS Intelligent Multiplex System can benefit you in your rally car, drag car, Baja truck or road race car.

ISIS Power and Baja

Our customers build some pretty extreme vehicles, especially on the race side of our business.  Between the heat, vibration, mechanical shock and current demands, the electrical systems in all race cars get abused.  Traditional wiring systems just can't cut it in the extremes of drag-racing, road-racing, rally & Baja.  Our ISIS Intelligent Multiplex System, with its solid-state MOSFET technology, is your best option for reducing weight, adding functionality, increasing reliability and simplifying the wiring harness in your race car.

Here's another great example.

Dave Heffel of Desert Performance in Henderson, Nevada wired an off-road truck with our ISIS 3-Cell Kit.  Outside of the basic functions like ignition, starter and cooling fans, this truck has a lot of external lighting and winches that need electrical control.  Our ISIS system easily scaled to suit his needs.

This is the SCORE Offroad Truck 601 and it just ran in the Baja 500 Race in Mexico.

When you talk about extreme environments, this is one of the worst.  The trucks get hot, the vibrate and the get bounced around a lot.  At mike marker 120, the driver crashed and rolled the truck 4 times.  They were able to get the truck put back together to finish the race.  ISIS performed flawlessly through all of this.

Here is a picture of the truck before the Baja 500.

Here is a picture of the truck after the Baja 500.

Can your existing electrical system survive this?

Give our ISIS Power team a call at (847) 232-1991 or send us an email at sales@isispower.com to connect with our technical team to learn how we can improve the electrical system in your race car or truck.

ISIS Power and Heli-Racing...

Heli-Racing is a Belgian rally race team.  They build and race 1-Series BMW's.  These are stripped down, performance machines where weight and reliability are the keys to winning.  These cars see some of the most aggressive road conditions out there.

Charles Schmid with his crew of Matthias LePeire and Thijs Mahieu wired their 2012 car with our ISIS Intelligent Multiplex System.  The need to keep their weight down, eliminate external relays and put the most reliable electrical system in the car.  They got that by installing ISIS.

The car just competed in the Belgium Championship and finished in 6th place.

Here are some pictures of the wire harness and the ISIS cells in their car.

All of our ISIS cells were designed to the toughest OEM standards.  They can take the heat, vibration, mechanical shock and chemical exposure of all racing environments.

You can learn more about Heli-Racing by visiting their website: www.heli-racing.be.  You can also search for them on Facebook to see more action shots of the car plus some in-car video.

Contact ISIS Power to learn more about how our system can help you in all types of racing applications including road racing, drag-racing, Baja, off-road and Rally.  You can call our team at (847) 232-1991 or email sales@isispower.com.  Click on www.isispower.com to get to our website.

More Winning from Littlefield Customs Camaro

Okay, we know that we've been talking about this car a lot but we're suckers for a Gen I Camaro that goes fast and handles.

Bob Littlefield of Littlefield Customs build an awesome '69 Camaro.  He and his team took it to the Chevy High Performance Nationals at the Atlanta Dragway in Commerce, Georgia last weekend.  Not only were they the fastest car on the Auto Cross track Saturday and Sunday, they won first place for a LSX powered Camaro and walked away with Best in Show.

Think about this.  They built a beautiful Camaro that the judges deemed worthy of Best in Show.  On top of that, they ran the fastest course times for Auto Cross, faster than race-prepped, stripped down, professional cars.  What a great testament to Bob and his team.

We're proud to be a part of this car.  Congratulations guys!!!!

Here's more info on the car.  Learn more at http://www.littlefieldcustoms.com/

Race Mustang is Alive...

We have a good customer in the Virginia area who has been working on his Fox-Body Mustang for drag racing for a while.  In addition to wiring his Mustang, he has our inTOUCH MAX in his center console controlling all of the switched functions in the car.

He just posted a quick video on Facebook showing off the buttons on screen with the car running.  Check it out here by clicking this link.

Customer FFR Roadster to Debut at Factory Five Open House

One of our earlier customers has just put the finishing touches on wiring his Factory Five Roadster with our ISIS Intelligent Multiplex System. Bob S. has built a great looking Roadster with every possible bell and whistle. He wants this car to look, feel, perform and have all the amenities of any new luxury car. He wired the car with our 3-Cell Kit. He also added our inDASH wiring harness for his gauges, inRESERVE to protect his battery, our inLINK wireless option for security and our inTOUCH MAX double DIN touch screen to replace the switches on his dash. Bob has a complete command console at this fingertips that controls the lighting, ignition and starter functions in the car. Here are some images of his dash.

Bob is going to be showing the car off at the 15th Annual Factory Five Open House at their headquarters in Wareham, MA. If you're in the area, look up Bob's car and check out some of the other great cars that will be there. You can get more information on the Factory Five Open House by clicking here.
