SL-C, Gearz & ISIS Power
Check out this season of Stacey David's Gearz. Over the next month, he will be building one of Superlite Cars' SL-C on the show to walk you through the whole process, including wiring the car with our custom build ISIS Power system that we created specifically for this car.
Stacey is the gearhead's gear head and he loves speed. What better car for him than the SL-C. It gives you that great balance of being able to drive daily or take to the track to dominate. He is going to show you all of the benefits of the SL-C kit that Fran Hall and his team from Race Car Replicas. This is going to be a very comprehensive build series spanning multiple episodes, not just a quick single episode. This will answer all of your questions about what it takes to build an SL-C.
Here is the teaser introduction for the build series.
You can catch more episodes at http://www.staceydavid.com/ or look the the episodes on SPEED TV.

New ISIS Power Drag Racing With Alston Racing
Based on the success of the Race Car Replicas SL-C on the NASA circuit from the 2011 season, we have been pushing our ISIS products into different racing circuits. Our aftermarket customers see benefits in weight reduction, simplicity and increased functionality in their street cars. Those same benefits translate over to guys wiring their race cars.
We paired up with our friends at Alston Racing to bring this revolutionary wiring system to guys building and wiring drag race cars. Mike Ruth and his team at Alston bring decades of experience in building cars and making them go fast. With Mike's help, we have created a kit tailored for the sportsman's classes of drag racing. Everything starts with our tried and tested 2-Cell Kit. Up on top of that we have introduced a new panel that dramatically simplifies the way that you wire in your switches. Using the same J1939 multiplexing technology used in off-highway vehicles, all of your switches in the car connect back to our MASTERCELL through 2 simple wires. That includes the configurable back lights on each switch. Here is a great shot of what these switches look like.
We debuted this new kit at the 2012 Racing Performance Expo here in the Chicago area a few weeks ago. The team at ARS-TV shot a great segment talking about the benefits of this new wiring kit for drag racing cars. Here is the teaser for the video for episode 18.

ISIS inLINK Security...
We received a great question from a potential customer. He was looking to add the ISIS inLINK wireless upgrade to his system and wanted to know how secure it was.
inLINK is a great option for your ISIS Intelligent Multiplex System because it easily adds remote control to your wiring system. You get our inLINK radio module and two key fobs. The radio module easily installs in the MASTERCELL. If you purchase inLINK with your kit, we pre-install it for your. If you purchase it later, it is very easy to install yourself. It is completely plug & play with no software requried. This link shows you how to install the inLINK radio module into your MASTERCELL.
You can use your ISIS inLINK key fobs to control many things including your lighting, popping your doors and expressing-down your windows. Most importantly, inLINK gets you security and alarm functions. When you press the lock button on the inLINK key fob, ISIS completely disables the inputs for the ignition, starter and fuel pump. This is done from within the MASTERCELL so it is very secure. If you try to start the car when ISIS security is on, you get a clear message on the inSIGHT LCD module alerting you that the car cannot be started. Additionally, you can tie MASTERCELL inputs to swithches in your car so that if they are triggered when security is on, you can sound the horn or an external siren. This makes inLINK a very powerful vehicle immobolizer and alarm that is built right into ISIS with no additional wiring required.
Since inLINK is the key to the vehicle's security, the question about the wireless encryption is important. We use Microchip's KEELOQ hardware and encryption technology for inLINK. This is the exact same technology used in OEM remote entry systems, vehicle alarms, highway toll collection, garage door openers and medical device monitoring.
KEELOQ ueses a hopping, 64-bit code system. There are over 4-billion code combinations and everytime you press a button, the system randomly generates a new code. The hardware is designed never to react to the same code twice. If you could try each of the different code combinations, it would take you 17-years to go through all of them.
We have our own seed key that is unique to ISIS so that other devices using the same KEELOQ technology cannot link to our system.
The ISIS inLINK system uses an industry proven, rock-solid technology to ensure reliable transmissions and hack-proof security.
You can learn more about inLINK at this link.

Sorry for the silence on the blog for the past month. We have been swamped with a bunch of different things. There are some major activities happening on the commercial side of our business plus we have been busy in the lab whipping up some new aftermarket products.
Based on our success with Team Superlite and their SL-C 01 from last season, we have been working on some racing specific systems to help guys wire their road racing cars and dragsters. We have a few new partnerships that we will be announcing soon that will help us in these markets.
Watch more more info about our ISIS Intelligent Multiplex System and how it can help you wire your race car.
