Dr. Dan Schubert's Contraption...

Okay Folks,

I love when customers get creative. This is a great example.

I first started talking to Dr. Dan Schubert in early 2008. He got wind of the upcoming arrival of ISIS and wanted in. I remember him telling me that he was an early adopter and wanted to be the first ISIS Intelligent Multiplex System customer. His MASTERCELL and POWERCELLs have hand-written serial numbers 1, 2 and 3.

Dr. Dan has come up with a practical (as far as kit cars can be practical) solution to the problem of back-up lights on the Factory Five Roadsters. He has a pretty clever mechanism wired into an output on his rear POWERCELL that drives a mechanism that drops down a reverse light from the car's frame. When he takes it out of reverse, the mechanism retracts the light and it hides back in the frame.

I originally met Larry Jewett at SEMA in 2008 and he has been a great supporter since then. We were on a press tour in late 2009 and had dinner with the rest of the Amos team near their offices in Florida. I had given the ISIS demo in some pretty interesting places, but never quite like this one. After we finished dinner, we set up the demo across the bar and showed everyone there the benefits of using ISIS to replace your traditional wiring harness in a car. The bar tender was sold immediately.

Check out Dan Ward's ISIS Coverage in Truckin' Magazine...

We had been talking with Dan Ward of Truckin' magazine about doing an install for his magazine for a while. We were thrilled when he said that he had a project with Aaron Iha of Chassis by Aaron Iha. They do some top notch work. We were even more excited when they told us that this truck was being built for Howie Kendrick, second baseman for the LA Angels.

We got right to work with Aaron and his team on laying out an ISIS 3-Cell Kit to power the truck, a 1967 Chevy C10. We created a custom configuration for them that allowed the truck to stand out. This included things like our one-button start, theatre dimming and daytime running lights. These were all built into ISIS so they didn't have to integrate any additional modules to make this happen. According to Aaron: "It all worked out really nice and I would definitely use the system in future projects."
