Okay Loyal Blog Readers,
Tune in this Sunday to watch the premier of the three-part series of Two Guys Garage that documents the complete build of a Factory Five Racing '33 Hot Rod. This is a great car, built by a great team of builders and suppliers including Factory Five, Dart Engines, Monster Transmissions, Lizard Skin and our team here at ISIS Power.
These three episodes are really hands-on and show the build step-by-step from bolting on the suspension, building the motor, mounting the body and wiring the entire car with our standard 3-Cell Kit. If you looking for drama, guys throwing wrenches and fighting between members of the build team, this is not the series for you. If you are looking to learn some practical tips that will help you build any car, check this series out.
Mike and I installed one of our standard ISIS 3-Cell kits in the car. It is a very basic car and wiring it was a breeze with the ISIS Intelligent Multiplex System.
The first episode of this series premiers this Sunday, April 4th at 9:00 AM Eastern on SPEED TV. You can see the install of ISIS in the second and third episodes, which premier at 9:00 AM EASTERN on April 11th and 18th.

Out of Des Plaines...
Well, we have officially moved the ISIS Power business out of the former Littelfuse building in Des Plaines into our new facility in Elk Grove Village, Illinois. All of the ISIS Intelligent Multiplex System products will be manufactured in our new space. The new address is:
ISIS Power
1410 Brummel Street
Elk Grove Village, IL 60007
The new facility is about 6 miles from the Des Plaines building so none of our commutes change significantly. Actually, it takes about 10 minutes off of my drive. No complaints here.
The new offices flow a little better for the team and the assembly process is laid out far more efficiently than we had in Des Plaines. I have known our new land lords for almost 15 years and they are great to work with.
We all spent a lot of time in the old Des Plaines building so we have mixed emotions on leaving. Putting all of the nostalgia aside, we are excited to be in our new place. Now we just need to unpack and make it our new home.
I am usually pretty good with taking pictures to document things, but I am kicking myself that I didn't get a lot of pictures of the Des Plaines production facility over the past few years. Here's a parting panoramic shot of the production space as we were disassembling it to move.
I'll get better pictures of the new space as we get set up.

Very Cool Customer Car...
Okay... a customer sent me pictures of his finished car and it is awesome.
Joe Mischik and his son Trevor built this Ferrari 330 P-4 replica with our ISIS 3-Cell kit installed in it. Check this out. The workmanship is top-notch.
Check out the placement of the rear POWERCELL, in the rear-left corner of the car.
They are a very accomplished build team and it shows in the details in this car. They really took the time to plan their build and think through where they were going to mount the MASTERCELL and POWERCELLs. The ISIS system really made wiring this car much easier and gave them the modern conveniences that they wanted.
I really can't have a favorite customer car, but this one is high on my list.

2009 Two Guys Garage Videos...
Since I have been posting about the recent shoot for Two Guys Garage and Factory Five Racing, a lot of people have been asking where they can see the original episode that aired last summer. It can be found on the ISIS Power website in the media section here.
I also have linked the episode in four parts to this post.
If you haven't seen it, take a good look. I am available for parties.

Finally Home....
Okay Folks,
We're back. After a long week of time on the road, our whirl-wind trade-show-o-rama is over.
The Work Truck Show went well. We met a bunch of new potential customers in the commercial vehicle and utility vehicle market.
The Hot Rod & Restoration Show was awesome. Our seminar as part of their education day was very well received and well attended. We packed the room. The show itself was great. We had a steady flow of people coming through the booth. The best part of any of these shows is the number of people who stop buy to say that they saw ISIS on TV or read about an install in a magazine or have been following us on a forum. Easily 7 in 10 guys know what ISIS is and why it is a better alternative to traditional wiring harnesses.
My favorite meetings with customers come when they start selling the features & benefits back to us. The brand building of the ISIS Intelligent Multiplex System is certainly working.
Now it is time to dig into all of the emails & voice mails.

Greetings from the road...
Greetings from Indianapolis,
I am on the second let of our whirlwind tour of trade shows through the Mid West.
Mike, Arnie and I were in St. Louis yesterday at the NTEA Work Truck Show. We spent the day showing ISIS to truck builders, upfitters and body builders. In all cases, these guys are adding electrical functionality to their vehicles and wiring is a concern. Mike & Arnie are still there. I'm in Indianapolis now.
Jim, Duane and I got here this afternoon to set up the booth and get ready for the show. I also gave a seminar as part of their educational day on ISIS and the benefits that it offers to shops and professional installers. We had 124 people registered for the event. It was a full house.
I highlighted the features and benefits of ISIS, the advantages over traditional wiring harnesses and how it can improve the profitability for a professional installer. I got a lot of great feedback from the participants after the presentation.
The show kicks off tomorrow through the Saturday afternoon. I'll report back on how it went.

Team ISIS Hits The Road Again...
Okay, as if last week on the set of Two Guys Garage wasn't enough, we have another roadtrip ahead of us this week.
First, Mike and I head to St. Louis for the Work Truck Show. This is a new venue for us in a new market. 2010 is our year to branch out into the commercial vehicle customer base, and this show is one of our steps there.
We are going to be joined by Arnie Hollenbeck of HSI, our new rep firm in this space. He brings a ton of experience in this market plus lots of good connections.
I leave Mike & Arnie in St. Louis to meet Jim & Duane in Indianapolis for the 2010 Hot Rod & Restoration Show. We made a splash with ISIS at ths show last year, we had to do it again.
I will be giving a seminar on ISIS as part of their educational day at 4:15 PM on Thursday March 11th. The seminar is called "Turn Wiring Headaches into Shop Profit". I will be talking about the benefits that the ISIS Intelligent Multiplex System can provide to shops wiring cars professionally. I will discuss the features & benefits of the system plus summarize how ISIS can improve their profitability and value to their customers. We had 80 people signed up for the seminar as of last week.
I also have another interview scheduled with Donny Seyfer of Gear Heads Radio. He did a great interview with me last year. If you haven't heard it, you can listen here.
We are going to do our best to keep up with all of the email and voice mails while we are on the road. Anna and Lenore will be keeping down the fort in our absence.
I'll send updates over the week.

More from the ISIS Install on the Factory Five '33 Hot Rod...
Okay Folks,
I am trying to get up the pictures and videos from the Factory Five '33 build for Two Guys Garage. There's a lot of material, so I is going to trickle out a little at a time. We installed our 3-Cell Kit into the hot rod in place of the typical car wiring harness that you would usually see.
This is a great behind the scenes video of how the build went. We were faced with the practical reality of how to get the car down off of the jack stands safely and easily. Three cheers for fork lifts.
Check this out.

Back from the Factory Five Build...
Okay Folks,
We're back from the Two Guys Garage studio in Tampa, Florida. We had a great 5 day build with Bryan Fuller, Kevin Byrd, the Factory Five Team, the Dart team, Lizard Skin, Monster Transmissions and a ton of other talented folks,
Any project like this is daunting, but Factory Five really put the thought into the kit to make the process easy. We literally bolted it together to make an awesome car.
We wired the car with our standard ISIS 3-Cell Kit pre-configured specifically for the Factory Five '33 Hot Rod. We also added inLINK for security and inDASH to make the under dash wiring simple.
The '33 is a very simple car without a lot of electrical demand. Even so, the ISIS Intelligent Multiplex system made installing the car's wiring harness simple. The diagnostic functions really helped in a pinch and the car has functions that you just couldn't get from a traditional wiring harness.
I have a bunch of pictures that I need to get off of my camera and up on the website and the blog. Watch this space for more updates and videos from the Two Guys Garage Factory Five Build.
