Another Great Road Race Application

We see a lot of unique cars.  This one is no exception.

Carlo Kuijer and his Team Divitec Racing have build a very unique road-race car.  They built it in 2011 as a concept race car.  Their Phantom SF11 is powered by a 3.5 liter V6 Cosworth race engine.

As unique as it is on the outside, it is truly unique on the inside.  Carlo wired the car with our ISIS Intelligent Multiplex System using our 3-Cell Kit plus adding another POWERCELL to handle all of the extra functions that need to be controlled in the car including their data acquisition, computers, telemetry, cool suit, lighting, engine management and cameras.

To keep the interior clean and to reduce the amount of wiring in the car, Carlo installed our inTOUCH MAX double DIN touch screen.  This gives him complete control of all of the car's functions without lots of switches on the dash.  He designed his own graphics for the screen to keep the design queues consistent on the car.

You can learn more about Divitek Racing and see more pictures of Carlo's car by visiting their facebook page at this link

Keep watching our blog to learn more about how ISIS can help you simplify the way that you wire any car, including cars for road racing.

Porsche Track Car wtih ISIS...

We have a customer in Colorado who is building a 1978 Porsche 930 as a track car.  He has spent three years working on getting this car right.  He turned to our team at ISIS Power to get a wiring system that will handle the abuse of the track, eliminate weight and get him the functionality that he needs in the car.

He picked up a 3-Cell Kit to handle all of the electrical functions in the car.  This package gets him 20 switched circuits, 10 in the front and 10 in the rear of the car.  Even though a race car wiring harness is pretty basic, there are still a lot of things that need to get switched.  ISIS makes wiring these plus adding more down the road easier than a traditional wiring system.

He is just at the point of mounting his cells in the car.  You can check out some of the install pictures below.

He has his MASTERCELL mounted just forward of the shifter so that he can access the inSIGHT diagnostics easily.

He wants to keep his weight low so he is mounting his POWERCELLs close to what is is controlling.  This eliminated a lot of wire in the car.  Here is his front POWERCELL.

His rear POWERCELL is mounted right in the engine compartment.  Again, this keeps his wire runs very short.  All of the ISIS POWERCELLS are rated for environments up to 125 degrees Celsius.

It is a beautiful car and it will be a powerful machine when it hits the track.  We'll post more as he continues to wire the car.

Superlite SL-C Wiki

For all you guys building the Superlite SL-C, there is a pretty good Wiki out there for you.  SL-C customer and track expert, Will Campbell has laid most of the ground work for the Wiki.  This will be a great environment for builders of this car.

For those who have never worked with a Wiki before, they are great places to get information.  A Wiki is supposed to be a dynamic environment where people can learn about specific topics and contribute information to them.  Wikipedia is on of the largest.

Check out the SL-C Wiki by clicking on http://superliteslcbuilders.wikispot.org/Front_Page

We will be contributing information to the Wiki to help all of our SL-C customers wire their cars with the included ISIS system that we engineered specifically for this car.  It is a great foundation to help you easily wire the car plus it gives you great options to expand and customize the electrical system in your car.

ISIS Power Chop Cut Rebuild Episode on SPEED

If you missed it on its first airing, SPEED TV is running the episode where we wire the Chop Cut Rebuild Duster.  It is a great episode featuring a great car and an awesome build team.

We helped Dan Woods, Edgar and the whole Classic Industries team wire their duster with our standard 3-Cell Kit, inLINK and inMOTION.  This combination of ISIS Power parts completely simplified the way that they wired the car and gave them a bunch of functions that they couldn't get from a traditional wiring harness.

You can catch this episode on SPEED TV.  Here are the airing dates for the next week.

April 7th, 2012: 7:30 AM EASTERN
April 8th, 2012: 10:30 AM EASTERN
